DESCRIPTION
The Curator’s Tour is a hands-on experience that embraces the history of jewelry making in a live performance.
The experience begins with a special tour with a museum curator through the permanent collections and includes presentations in the lecture hall about techniques spanning from ancient times until today.
A visit to metalsmithing & traditional arts studios give the audience an opportunity to interact with the artists to learn about traditional techniques of jewelry making, as well as contemporary decorative arts made with ceramic, wood, paper, fabrics and other materials.
