Among the 500 species of plants brought here from around the world under Queen Amalia’s watchful eye\, marble figures wait quietly: Dionysios Solomos\, Aristotle Valaoritis\, Jean Moréas\, Ioannis Kapodistrias and Ioannis Eynard—emblematic figures from an era of visionary leadership in Greece.
