SUMMARY:Presentation of Τhe House of General Napoleon Zervas
DESCRIPTION:Τhe House of General Napoleon Zervas opens its doors for a series of special presentations. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the spaces where the General lived and discover historical material that highlights the united national resistance against the occupying forces during the years 1941–1944. Through personal belongings and historical narratives\, the life and actions of Napoleon Zervas are brought to life\, offering insight into the events that shaped the history of Athens and Greece.\n\nThe presentations will take place every Wednesday and Thursday in May\, in small groups of up to 10 people.\n\nBookings open one week before each event\, at 12:00 noon.\n\nThis activity is only available in Greek.

DESCRIPTION:Cooling Havens\, an innovative European project of the City of Athens\, invites you to an immersive walk through Ano Patisia\, in one of Athens’ most vibrant neighbourhoods. Newly created cooling points serve as the starting point for rediscovering our relationship with water\, public space\, and the urban environment. \nExploring traces of the city’s past\, contemporary infrastructure and everyday urban life\, the walk highlights the role of water in shaping Athens while opening up a conversation about climate resilience and the city’s future. Blending history\, environmental awareness\, and urban experience\, the route offers a fresh perspective on the Athenian landscape.\nCooling Havens (G.A. EUI02-098) is a European project exploring the role of water in contemporary urban design\, highlighting solutions that strengthen cities’ resilience in the face of the climate crisis. Co-funded by the European Union\, the project is delivered by a consortium led by the City of Athens\, in collaboration with ten implementation partners and three European transfer cities. \nMeeting point: Ano Patisia \n\n\n\nThis activity is only available in Greek.
