DESCRIPTION
Wine, the gift of Dionysus!
Explore the taste of ancient food paired with wine at the Acropolis Museum in collaboration with Wine Style.
Really now, what was the relationship of the ancient Athenians with wine? How did they drink it and what did they accompany it with? What did their diet consist of? Which products were local and which were imported? And what role did they have in the religious life of the city?
These and many other questions will be answered by the museum’s archaeologists in a special tour of the collections that will be followed by a unique hands-on experience. This unique tasting experience includes dishes inspired by thousands of years of history and paired with wine from Ktima Gerovasiliou.
