VENUE

Kotsanas Museum of Ancient Greek Technology

DESCRIPTION

This children’s activity is only available in the Greek language.

What were cities like in Ancient Greece? Did they have infrastructure similar to today? Who planned the construction of the cities, and how were they different from a village? We’ll follow the footsteps of Heron of Alexandria and Archimedes to learn how the Ancient Greeks built houses and managed trade, and we’ll discover the techniques they used to cultivate their fields.

In a journey starting from the Acropolis and passing through Alexandria, London, Indonesia and Dubai, we’ll explore the “green city” of the future and discover that it has already been built by Ancient Greek engineers. Finally, we’ll inspire the imagination and create our own “city of the future.”
