Renos Charalambidis’ Cheap Cigarettes (2000)
Nikos is a thirty-year-old unemployed man who lives alone without a girlfriend as a life approach. He is surrounded by different types of people: the owner of the cafe he hangs out, Telis – a regular and talkative person who theorizes in favour of unbridled sex – his friend, a cynic who urges Telis to hunt down women. Manolis, an adventurer, willing to get involved in the most unexpected situations. At last, Nikos meets Sofia in a telephone booth, a beautiful young girl full of confidence, from the fashion world. They wander one night together in the city and then split. He will look for her again, as those around him no longer inspire him.
