DESCRIPTION
Child-centred, this Athenian museum first opened its doors in 1987, with the aim of helping young visitors, from pre-school age onwards, to develop their skills and talents, as well as to become empathetic and socially aware citizens.
There, children together with their parents explore different paths that all lead to a common goal: the creation of future responsible adults with respect for individuality and personal drive. At the Hellenic Children’s Museum, all children are equal, without any exceptions, and the only concern of those in charge is the multifaceted development of their personality.
At the same time, in cooperation with the Culture, Sports and Youth Organization of the Municipality of Athens, the Children’s Museum of Athens has been operating since 1994 inside the Hellenic Children’s Museum, where, with the help of excellent interactive exhibits aimed at children up to 12 years old, young children are introduced to concepts such as expression and cooperation.
The event follows all required guidelines of the public health authority to prevent the spread of COVID 19.
