This tour explores the temporary exhibition at the Jewish Museum of Greece titled “Stone Paths – Stories Set in Stone: Jewish Inscriptions in Greece”. Led by the JMG archaeologist, Anastasia Loudarou, you will see ten objects that demonstrate the long history of the the Jews of Greece (from the late 4th BCE to the 15th century). The exhibition reconstructs the story of one of the oldest religious and cultural communities in Europe and reveals the multicultural past of the country. The exhibit includes works of modern art to attempt to communicate with the remnants of a bygone world.
The guided tour and the admission will be offered free of charge for 25 to 30 visitors at a time.
