A few words about the paritcipanting ice cream shops and producers
Maraboo Ice Cream
Maraboo opened in 2018 and since then, the whole city has fallen in love with its natural ice-cream. Every single day, Vicky Peristanoglou and Igor Tsomlektsoglou craft ten different flavours, starting with classic ones such as Fiordilatte, Milk Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Dark Chocolate Sorbet, fresh seasonal fruit Sorbets, plus more particular ones such as Coconut & Jasmine, Black Beer, Orange Stracciatella, Avocado & Cocoa Sorbet, Cashew Sorbet and many more. The recipes are created with great joy and care, while searching for the best quality raw materials and experimenting with different flavours. Their ice-cream contains the least sugar possible, with no artificial fat, aromas, colours or premixes. You will find lots of vegan flavours along with ice-cream for your dog, made only from banana and peanut butter.
Maraboo is a meeting place, just go there and let them tell you what to eat!
Ninnolo Gelateria Artigianale
Ninnolo is an artisanal gelateria, a delicacy destination, and a tea, coffee, and cake house. Ninnolo was established in the summer of 2011 with the opening of our first store. We spent two years prior to this travelling the globe in order to find and source the best natural products that our planet has to offer in order to produce an exceptional gelato that would not require any artificial additives (colorants, preservatives, emulsifiers, stabilizers). Our travels took us to some exotic locations and we established personal relationships with some small and some not so small farmers and artisanal producers of some of the most delicious produce that we have ever tasted. After a successful start, we gained the courage, ironed out the wrinkles, opened up in Athens and expanded on our range of cakes, jams, and biscuits, always having in mind that “whatever we add to the menu will have to stand its ground next to our gelato.
Oggi Gelato
The story of course begins in Italy in the summer of 2019. During one of our trips, the Douras “family” (Emilia Douras, Nikolaos Douras, Christoforos Douras, Athena Douras) experienced what is called “the right timing” and met the right person, Carmelo Chiaramida, owner of gelateria Oggi, at the exact moment when they were finishing our studies at the University of Carpigianni Ice Cream in Bologna. Oggi, which means “today” in Italian, is the brainchild of Carmelo, who started making gelato at a young age. At Oggi, the handmade natural gelato is created every day – and sold out every day – so that every morning it can be offered fresh again in different flavors that alternate according to the seasonality of the ingredients. The raw materials are selected strictly according to the cycle of the seasons. We work with suppliers from every region to ensure the high quality of our products (e.g. Sicilian Bronte pistachio, Piemonte hazelnut, Modica chocolate, Koukaki farm milk) In addition, out of respect for our customers, words such as preservatives, colors, stabilizers are prohibited.
