Psarogiorgis is a member of the famous Xylouris family who have been known for generations and around the world as ambassadors for the musical tradition of Crete.
Psarogiorgis has already made a great impact on the world music scene by bringing the laouto to the forefront and collaborating with folk and rock musicians on contemporary arrangements. In the capable hands of Psarogiorgis, the lauoto is no longer viewed as a mere accompanying instrument, it has become a solo instrument and a protagonist in melody.
In this special concert organized for the Athens City Festival, Psarogiorgis and his band will perform at the Roman Agora and rediscover some of the best moments of their musical career.
