DESCRIPTION

The permanent exhibition of the Museum of Modern Greek Culture explores a world that is so close yet far away from our own.

The objects in “Man and Tools: Aspects of Labour in the Pre-Industrial World” tell powerful stories about the people who made and used them in the villages of Greece.

These were the tools of survival long before the era of mass production. Objects donated by the Society of Ethnographic Studies are combined with words, images, archival documents, and personal testimonies are combined with interactive exhibits to create a multi-layered experience.
