SUMMARY:1st Athens International Youth Theatre Festival
DESCRIPTION:In the Park of Plato’s Academy\, a place of particular significance\, the Athens International Youth Theatre Festival “City-Citizen-Culture” will take place for the first time from May 8th to 9th.\n\nInitiated by the Festival of the Municipality of Athens and supported by the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation\, Athens is transformed into a living monument\, inviting participants to reflect on the contemporary challenges for Democracy\, the State\, and the Citizen.\n\nMore than 250 students from Athens\, Kallithea\, Acharnes\, Glyfada\, Nea Propontida\, and Syracuse\, using Ancient Drama as an educational tool\, will present theatrical performances.
