SUMMARY:Dimitris Papadimitriou at the Roman Agora
DESCRIPTION:The iconic archaeological site of the Roman Agora of Athens opens its gates to welcome acclaimed composer Dimitris Papadimitriou. \n\nIn one of his rare appearances in Greece\, the composer himself conducts an eleven-member orchestra\, presenting timeless works that have earned the love and admiration of audiences over the years. The programme includes beloved songs from the albums Songs for the Months and Beyond the Soul\, as well as melodies from successful television series such as Anastasia and The Witches of Smyrna. Excerpts from major works including The Great Heretic and Songs of Attidon Street will also be performed. The evening’s performances will be interpreted by Veronica Davaki\, Giorgos Florakis and Panos Papaioannou\, alongside special guest friends\, in a concert seeking the pure truth of artistic creation beneath the Athenian sky. \n\n“The most beautiful thing is that which must be sought\,” as Gaius Petronius once said—a phrase that continues to inspire Dimitris Papadimitriou.\n\nReservations open one week before the event at 12:00 noon.
