Kypseli Municipal Market is transformed into a vibrant crossroads of continents, hosting the Lusophone Festival. On the occasion of the World Portuguese Language Day, the Athenian public is invited on a journey connecting Portugal and Brazil with Angola, Cape Verde and Mozambique. From 19:00, the rhythm ignites: Quilombo set the tone with traditional percussion, Abadá Capoeira fills the space with the explosive energy of Brazilian martial art, while Miranda Verouli and her band create a sensual dialogue between fado and bossa nova. The celebration reaches its peak with SambrazilBand and Forró Atenas, inviting the audience to dance non-stop, while Victoria KizzArte brings the movement of Angolan kizomba to the stage. With the support of the Embassies of Portugal and Brazil, the evening is complemented by authentic culinary flavours and concludes with a DJ set by Giannis Kastanakis—paying tribute to a rich, polyphonic world that transcends oceanic boundaries.
