As part of the This is Athens City Festival and World Car-Free Day, the the City of Athens Department of Cleanliness and Recycling jumps into action with interactive, hands-on activities that blend creativity, play, and eco-awareness! On Sunday, September 20, Athinas Street hosts two interactive stations for kids and families:

The Giant "ATHENS" Canvas: Young artists pick up their brushes and transform the giant letters spelling out "ATHENS" into a massive, colorful community canvas, painting whatever inspires them about their city.

Street Mission: Recycling Agents: Kids turn into secret agents navigating a giant laser-style obstacle course crafted from upcycled yarn. Ducking under colorful lines, dodging course "mines," and collecting recyclable materials to sort into the correct bins, young agents race to complete a high-energy mission packed with adventure, skill, and green spirit!
