The 6th Agatha Crime Fiction Festival is a fact!

The landmark event for Greek crime fiction returns for the sixth consecutive year to bring together readers, writers, and publishers in the great celebration of books.

The festival's activities culminate over the three-day period of May 16, 17, and 18, 2025, at the War Museum (Vasilissis Sofias & Rizari 2, Athens).

Sunday, May 18th – Lobby

14:00 – 17:00: Crime at the War Museum Author Tessi Papathanasiou has prepared a series of riddles and secret clues waiting for us to follow them to the solution of the mystery. For children aged 8 and up.

17:00: Mystery at the War Museum Who was the mysterious burglar? What were they looking for among the Museum's exhibits? Through riddles and clues that we will gather in an original "treasure hunt," we will all create our own crime story together. The activity is coordinated by journalist and author Kostas Stoforos.

Sunday, May 18th – Adamantios Korais Hall

15:00: Terror on Lufthansa Flight 3015 Live action role-playing mystery game by the creative team of Gamecraft. Experience an adventure, taking on the roles of fictional characters and influencing its development! Register by May 10th by calling 6958465415.

18:00 – 19:00: Roundtable Authors, publishers, and agents discuss the publishing interaction between Greece and Romania with Bogdan Hrib.

Sunday, May 18th – Rigas Feraios Hall

15:30 – 17:00: "Heroes and Stories": Creative writing workshop for children Author Erika Athanasiou creates new heroes with the children and connects them to well-known stories. For children aged 8 and up.

17:00 – 18:00: Minors and Violence Presentation of social research by the criminology department of Tabula Rasa. Criminologist Elena Bolonasi (lawyer, criminologist, author) and her students present their research on "Minors and Violence."

18:00 – 18:30: Stand Up Crime Comedy Author Vangelis Bekas, in a fit of madness, takes the stage to prove that crime fiction can be stand-up comedy.

18:30 – 20:00: True Crime Event on the True Crime genre. Speakers: Martha Lebesi (Sociologist, MDE Criminology, Director of the Center for the Study of Crime – KE.M.E.), Giannis Panousis (Professor Emeritus of Criminology), Giorgos Tsoukalis (private investigator), Kostas Chasiotis (Police Lieutenant Colonel, former head of the Homicide Department).

20:00 – 21:00: Honorary Award This year's award is dedicated to the memory of Sergios Gakas. Authors and friends will present thoughts and memories about his work and life.
