Archaeologist and guide Michalis Giohalas joins the This is Athens City Festival for a walking tour through Anafiotika and the historic Rizokastro area, nestled at the foot of the Acropolis Rock. Drawing on surviving monuments, lost buildings, and the very names of the streets, this tour pieces together the memory of a city that may have changed—but hasn’t entirely disappeared. Along the way, participants will tune in to echoes of myths, legends and beliefs that still linger in these ancient corners of Athens.
