In this walk, led by historian Menelaos Charalampidis, we will examine the events of the critical day of 3 December 1944 in Syntagma Square and the surrounding streets. We aim to answer the central question of who fired during the rally, triggering the start of the December Events. Using testimonies from Americans, Britons, Greeks, journalists, military personnel, and resistance fighters who were present in the square, we will closely analyze the developments of that Sunday morning in the heart of Athens.
