A New Capital is Born

Starting near the Acropolis in the beautiful neighborhood Makrygianni, we will move on electric bikes through the picturesque streets of Old Athens: Plaka, Monastiraki and Thisseio. We will travel in time next to monuments of Ancient and Classical Athens at the foot of the Acropolis. We will admire some of the most beautiful neoclassical houses of Athens and how this style could be created in simple ways using widely available materials. We will distinguish the most important features of Greek neoclassicism in urban housing of all kinds, from the houses designed by famous architects such as Kleanthis and Tsiller, or the exceptional craftsmen who left us a unique legacy making up the cultural heritage of Athens.
