This activity is only available in the Greek language. Cine Urbanography is a children’s program that encourages conversation between the visual arts and cinema. Students will boost their film literacy by learning about some of the leading creators of the late 20th century. They will wander the streets and alleys of the city as it was represented in film, discovering the life of the city during the 50s, 60s and 70s through sounds and images. In parallel, through paintings, installations and posters, they will encounter the cinema as part of the popular culture. Finally, the children will be asked to capture moments from their life in the city in improvised film frames to learn some basic principles of cinematic storytelling.
