Our young friends aged 6 to 12 are invited on a magical journey into the world of Greek Nobel Laureate Odysseas Elytis through the educational programme "Butterfly Words". As part of the This is Athens City Festival 2026, children will have the chance to get to know the work of one of the most significant poets in a fun and creative way, using his very own words as building blocks.

Symbols, images, and concepts from his earliest poems are transformed into an original linguistic game. Participants will deconstruct famous verses and experiment with their own original creations, letting their imagination "fly" free.
