DESCRIPTION
Sculptor Dora Economou presents a large solo exhibition in the foyer of the Olympia Theatre, with works from her artistic career over the last 15 years.
Dora Economou often uses various industrial materials in her work, constructing objects out of them that purposely render the process visible when in their final form. The artist treats these materials as characters: the process is the grammar rendering them into words, the rhythm between forms and pauses is the syntax, the titles – which are an integral part of the work – are the punctuation marks.
Thus, she presents to the public works that reflect her personal practice.
