The iconic Midnight Express film club and cinema guru Akis Kapranos return to bring the magic of late-night outdoor cinema back to life! On Saturday, September 19 (from 23:30 until dawn), the street fills with the scent of asphalt, celluloid nostalgia, and the most legendary car chases in cinematic history.

In a one-of-a-kind midnight marathon, Tom Cruise, Michael Caine, and Steve McQueen takeover Athinas Street with three timeless classics:

• 23:30: Days of Thunder, Tony Scott, 1990, screened just ahead of its highly anticipated sequel
• 01:30: The Italian Job, Peter Collinson, 1969
• 03:30: Bullitt, Peter Yates, 1968

The screenings will be introduced live by Akis Kapranos and Stelina Theodosopoulou from Midnight Express, alongside author and car enthusiast Kostas Fasoulopoulos.

The screenings are organised in collaboration with the City of Athens and the film distribution company FEELGOOD. The evening’s sponsor is Arena Water.
