A guided tour of the second part of the exhibition “From Great Greece to Modern Greece”, which traces the completion of the country’s formation in terms of borders and population. The first part, presented in 2022, describes the events that led to the stabilization of borders after the end of World War I, focusing on the Asia Minor Campaign and the collective trauma of the destruction of Smyrna. The second part, subtitled “The Refugees”, focuses on the demographic shaping of Greece through population movements over the course of a century. The exhibition is made possible by the exclusive sponsorship of Piraeus Bank.
