VENUE

Museum of Cycladic Art

The Museum of Cycladic Art invites the public to a special guided tour that bridges 40,000 years of human creativity. The tour focuses on the original encounter between Paleolithic art and the contemporary vision of internationally renowned artist Jeff Koons, presenting his imposing work Balloon Venus Lespugue (Orange). Participants will have the opportunity to discover how the mirrored steel sculpture “enters into dialogue” with ten certified replicas of Paleolithic figurines, with the original Venus of Lespugue as a central reference point. Through the tour, timeless archetypes of fertility and femininity are explored, examining how the transformation of materials alters the sacred meaning of the female form from the dawn of humanity to the postmodern era.

This activity is only available in Greek.
