This activity will only be available in the Greek language.

The National Archaeological Museum presents a chronicle of the Greek State from its foundation (1830) to the present day as explored through an evening walk of the museum grounds.

The story begins two centuries ago in a vineyar, a plot of land that became a club for Bavarian soldiers and eventually was chosen to become the site of the largest museum dedicated to the ancient world. During times of war, the antiquities were buried in the earth. It became an emblematic site of the National Resistance during the Nazi Occupation of Athens, and a witness to the 1974 student revolt. This small place in the heart of Athens has a story for every moment in the history of the nation.
