The B&E Goulandris Foundation is organizing a thematic guided tour of its permanent Collection titled “Women in the Collection of the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation”.

Why was Edgar Degas’ Little Dancer described as “monstrous” when she was first presented in 1881?
What is the ambiguity that defines Pablo Picasso’s female figures, making them interesting and lively to this day?

Explore the works of artists such as Marc Chagall, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Edgar Degas, Pierre Bonnard, Georges Braque, Auguste Rodin, Camille Claudel, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Germaine Richier, Claude Lalanne, Sophia Vari, Barbara Hepworth, Niki de Saint Phalle, Hans Arp, Alberto Giacometti, César and others, to discover the different ways that women are depicted in the works of the Foundation’s Collection as well as the works of women artists represented in the Collection.
