DESCRIPTION
The Athens Culture Net will hold the two-day Athens Garden Festival in the garden of the City of Athens Central Library.
The event will host renowned musicians and dancers, who will perform traditional music from around the world.
Thursday, May 30
Crete – Andalusia
Cretan lyre player Othonas Mpikakis will meet on stage with flamenco guitarist Panos Kartibelis, flamenco singer Drosia Harisi and dancer Maria Mandragou.
Friday, May 31
Izmir – Buenos Aires
A concert of rebetiko singer Eirini Toumbaki, tango composer, pianist and accordionist Marios Strofalis, chromatic harmonica soloist Kostas Vlachopoulos and Herman Mayr, a guitarist, bassist and performer from Buenos Aires. They will be joined on stage by Nikos Milas on the violin and Athena Kouki on the qanun.
