Amalia’s Enchanted Garden: Treasure Hunt in the oasis of Athens
20 May 2023
Syntagma Square, Athens
The Narratologies team presents a hybrid game at the National Garden. Participants are invited to solve a mystery by downloading an app to their mobile phone, while the organizers of the game will be waiting in various parts of the Garden to guide them with hints.
The game takes place in the 19th century, during the reign of Otto, the first King of Greece. His wife, Queen Amalia, has started to create the Royal Garden in collaboration with designers, gardeners and urban planners. Suddenly she realizes that the flowers and exotic trees she plants are withering, and soon discovers that the garden is built over the ruins of a Roman-era villa with a stone bearing a magical inscription at its entrance: “Anything that threatens this house will be destroyed.”
Participants are asked to help Queen Amalia break the spell by solving a series of puzzles. At the end, the results will be announced and the winners will be crowned.
