DESCRIPTION
This activity is only available in the Greek language.
Τhe minimalist Book Space of the Municipality of Athens welcomes “Bridges” as part of the This is Athens City Festival, in a musical reading approach.
All book and music lovers are invited to the specially designed, for the day, Eleftherias Park. The artists Calliope, Marios Visvikis and Mister Enarto, in the role of musical travelers, will present their new projects live to the audience from early afternoon until 22:00, while the Athens Book Space will remain open late that day, actively participating in the entire event.
An exclusive interactive presentation of a book of three dark stories of love, passion and revenge, under the general title “Too much love kills”, by the authors Stella Karabakaki and Giorgos Giotsas, published by Lykofos editions, will be presented live to the audience.
The aim of the event is to achieve a link between two parallel worlds: The Book Space on the one hand, thriving in the serene shadow of Eleftheria Park as a dynamic cultural factor with the power of the book as its main axis. Music and vinyl with their acoustic spectra on the other hand, to make a decisive contribution to this.
Book and vinyl as the oldest means of information, communication, art and entertainment facing the new data of digital transition processes. Their refusal and insistence on abandoning their traditional nature, both makes them dynamic, timeless and traditionally modern means, which continue to evolve with the renewal, the empowerment of timeless processes and practices of the analog era of tangible productive editions.
